Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting to review sectoral reforms and policy measures aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s economy.
The meeting focused on boosting investment, industrial production, and export growth.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reviewed ongoing sectoral reforms and policy measures designed to increase investment and support overall economic development.
He emphasized that sustainable economic progress depends on strong policy execution and consistent reforms.The prime minister said that promotion of industry and production, along with increased foreign investment, is essential for long-term economic stability.
He stressed that improving the industrial base remains a key government priority.
Export growth and policy priorities
Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that effective measures to boost exports are a central part of the government’s economic agenda.
He directed relevant authorities to accelerate initiatives that can improve Pakistan’s export capacity and global competitiveness.
The prime minister instructed all ministries to work in close coordination for the formulation and implementation of effective development policies.
He said inter-ministerial cooperation is necessary to ensure smooth execution of economic reforms.
Shehbaz Sharif also emphasized administrative transparency and best performance across all reforms and measures.
He termed efficiency and accountability as top priorities of the government.
