The price of gold in Pakistan and the global market witnessed a huge decline on Monday after a single-day hike.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by a big Rs4,400, bringing the new rate to Rs471,762, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs3,773, settling at Rs404,459. Also, the price of 10 grammes of 22-karat gold saw a drop of Rs3,459 to be sold for Rs370,767.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by $44, reaching $4,494 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
However, silver prices followed the opposite trend. The price of 24-karat silver hiked by Rs46 to be sold for Rs8,059. Similarly, 10 grams of silver also climbed by Rs40 to Rs6,909.
