Gas consumers face another price hike as the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas for June.
According to an OGRA notification, the LPG price has been raised by Rs4.95 per kilogramme. After the increase, the new LPG rate has been fixed at Rs308.76 per kg.
The revised prices will be applicable from today.
The price of an 11.8kg domestic LPG cylinder has also gone up. OGRA has increased the domestic cylinder price by Rs58.51.
Following the revision, the LPG cylinder price for June has been fixed at Rs3,643.41.
The latest increase is bad news for gas consumers already facing rising household costs. The higher LPG rate is expected to directly affect domestic users who rely on cylinders for cooking and other daily needs.
