Seven people were killed in a tragic traffic accident in Khurshidabad tehsil of Haveli Kahuta, leaving the entire area in mourning and prompting calls for stricter action against unsafe vehicles.
The accident occurred in Khurshidabad tehsil when a loader rickshaw met with a crash. According to rescue officials, two people died on the spot, while five others were seriously injured.
The injured were immediately shifted from Khurshidabad to Kahuta and later transferred to Rawalakot for further treatment.
Two of the injured were referred to Rawalpindi due to their critical condition. However, they also could not survive, raising the death toll to seven.
Rescue officials identified the deceased as Idrees, Bilal, Shahzeb, Aqib, Waqar, Umar and Faisal.
The tragic incident has left Khurshidabad and surrounding areas in deep grief. Public and social circles expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives.
Condolences are being offered to the affected families as the entire area mourns the tragedy.
PM Rathore expresses grief
Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Rathore expressed deep grief over the loss of seven precious human lives. He offered heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families and sought a report on the accident.
The prime minister also directed the traffic police to take action against vehicles without fitness certificates to help prevent such accidents in the future.
