A man from the US state of Idaho, David Rush, has set a new world record after wearing 32 T-shirts in one minute, despite needing only 25 shirts to break the previous mark.
According to details surfaced, Rush, who holds the highest number of Guinness World Records titles, added another achievement to his long list of records by completing the challenge within the allotted time.
Rush has previously secured several records linked to T-shirts, including the most T-shirts worn in 30 seconds and the fastest time to wear 10 T-shirts.
This time, he attempted the title for the most T-shirts worn in one minute.
Rush said the challenge carried unique difficulties. In a post shared on social media, he wrote that the task became harder as time passed. After the 10th shirt, he was no longer battling only against the clock, but also against the pressure of the fabric. Each additional layer tightened around the body and restricted arm movement, making it feel as though he was struggling against a straitjacket.
To break the Guinness World Record, Rush needed to wear at least 25 T-shirts. He managed to put on 35 shirts within the time limit, but three of them were later rejected by Guinness officials.
Rush explained that the shirts were likely disqualified because the pressure caused by the heavy layers prevented their lower edges from falling fully below the waist. His official score was eventually confirmed at 32 T-shirts, enough to establish a new world record.
