The Bohra community in Karachi celebrated Eid-ul-Adha with deep religious devotion and traditional enthusiasm, joining Muslims across the country in observing the festival.
Special Eid congregations were held in various parts of the city under strict security arrangements.
The central Eid prayer gathering of the Bohra community was held at Taheri Mosque in Saddar, Karachi. A large number of worshippers participated in the Eid prayers and offered special supplications for peace, security, prosperity and development in Pakistan.
Eid prayers held across Karachi
Besides the central congregation, small and large Eid prayer gatherings were also held in different areas of Karachi.
Special Eid congregations took place in Saddar, Pakistan Chowk, Haideri and Baloch Colony, along with other areas where members of the Bohra community gathered to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha.
During the Eid gatherings, worshippers prayed for the peace and stability of the country and the well-being of the nation. Religious leaders also emphasized unity, harmony and collective prosperity during the special Eid prayers.
After offering Eid prayers, members of the Bohra community performed animal sacrifices in accordance with the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). Community members said the process of sacrifice would continue throughout all three days of Eid-ul-Adha.
Security tightened for Eid celebrations
Authorities made strict security arrangements in Karachi on the occasion of Eid celebrations by the Bohra community.
Security personnel were deployed around mosques and places of worship to ensure peaceful observance of the religious festival.
