The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has announced that there will be no electricity load shedding for two days during Eid-ul-Azha across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to PESCO, all feeders in the province will provide uninterrupted electricity to consumers round the clock during the Eid holidays.
PESCO Chief Executive Akhtar Hameed Khan said the decision was made to facilitate people during Eid-ul-Azha so they can perform Sunnah-e-Ibrahimi and celebrate the occasion properly.
He said the power utility aims to ensure maximum convenience for consumers during the festive days.
PESCO staff to remain on duty
Akhtar Hameed Khan said PESCO staff will remain on duty throughout Eid-ul-Azha to ensure continuous electricity supply.
He added that additional transformers, power cables, meters and other necessary equipment have already been provided to all relevant subdivisions and feeders.
PESCO’s spokesperson urged citizens not to tie sacrificial animals to electricity poles to avoid accidents and safety hazards.
Consumers were also advised to avoid unnecessary electricity usage so power can be supplied smoothly to every household during Eid.
