Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram expressed disappointment over Pakistan’s second defeat to Bangladesh in the Test series, while praising the hosts for their all-round performance.
Akram said Bangladesh fully deserved credit for playing “complete cricket”, adding that the side had made significant progress in the longer format of the game.

He observed that Bangladesh, once known for producing low and slow turning pitches, were now preparing quality Test surfaces which suited their fast bowlers.
The former captain said Bangladesh’s pace attack outclassed Pakistan with speed and discipline, adding that the team was now ready to compete against the world’s leading Test sides.
Akram also praised young fast bowler Nahid Rana, calling him an exceptional talent and a pleasure to watch.
