A meeting between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and chief minister Sohail Afridi was held in a cordial atmosphere, during which both leaders discussed the closure of CNG stations, restrictions imposed by Punjab on wheat and flour, law and order, and other important provincial matters.
According to details surfaced on Sunday, the KP governor has termed the Punjab’s restriction on the supply of wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the federal government’s closure of CNG as unconstitutional measures.
The meeting took place at the Governor House in Peshawar ahead of the oath-taking ceremony for the expansion of the provincial cabinet. The Speaker, provincial information minister, adviser on sports and the chief secretary were also present.
KP Governor Kundi said the closure of wheat supplies and CNG was severely affecting poor people. He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could obtain wheat from Sindh if Punjab allowed transit passage.
