The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled a 15-member squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 and the upcoming tri-series in Ireland.
Fatima Sana will continue to lead the national side as Pakistan prepare for a challenging campaign featuring several major rivals.
The PCB has once again placed its trust in Fatima Sana, who will captain Pakistan in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup for the second consecutive time.
The upcoming tournament will mark her third appearance at a Women’s T20 World Cup, highlighting the board’s confidence in her leadership and all-round abilities.
Five players set for World Cup debut
Pakistan’s squad features a blend of experienced campaigners and emerging talent.
Five players are set to play in the Women’s T20 World Cup for the first time. The debutants include Aiman Fatima, Natalia Parvez, Rameen Shamim, Saira Jabeen and Tasmia Rabab.
Their inclusion reflects Pakistan’s focus on building a balanced squad with fresh energy ahead of the global tournament.
Before the World Cup begins, Pakistan will participate in a tri-series in Ireland from May 28 to June 4.
The series will feature hosts Ireland and the West Indies, providing Pakistan with an important opportunity to fine-tune combinations and preparations before the mega event.
World Cup campaign to begin against India
Pakistan will kick off their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against India on June 14 in Birmingham.
The team is also scheduled to face South Africa, Bangladesh, Australia and the Netherlands during the group stage.
Meanwhile, the semi-finals are set to be played on June 30 and July 2, while the final will take place at Lord’s on July 5.
The PCB has also announced the coaching and support staff for the tournament.
Former Pakistan pacer Wahab Riaz has been appointed as mentor and head coach. He will be joined by Abdul Razzaq, Umaid Asif, Abdul Majid and Imran Farhat in the coaching setup.
According to the PCB, Pakistan’s recent 3-0 clean sweep against Zimbabwe has provided valuable momentum ahead of the tri-series and World Cup.
The board also confirmed that reserve players have been included to strengthen the squad if required during the tournament.
