A resident of the US state of Idaho, Robert Bevan, has astonished many once again after winning the lottery for the 18th time.
Most recently, Robert Bevan secured a prize of $50,000 in the ‘1,000,000 King Scratch Game’. According to Idaho Lottery officials, Bevan’s remarkable run of fortune began in 1997 when he won a Chevrolet Blazer vehicle during a special promotion.
Since then, he has received several prizes at different times, including winnings of up to $200,000.
Speaking about his repeated lottery victories, Bevan said playing the lottery had always remained a source of amusement for him and his wife, adding that the couple had been purchasing tickets together for many years.
When officials asked about the secret behind his continued success, he gave an emotional reply, saying his true good fortune was spending 40 years of life with the same intelligent and wonderful woman.
His remarks won praise on social media, where users warmly applauded his love and loyalty.
According to Idaho Lottery staff, proceeds generated through ticket sales are spent on public schools and state buildings across Idaho.
