Lahore Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Muhammad Ali Ijaz has announced a relaxation in market working hours across the city till June 1.
Under the decision, business centers in Lahore will no longer be required to close at 8pm during the relaxation period.
The deputy commissioner said the purpose of the move is to provide relief to the business community. He said the relaxation in market timings will help traders continue commercial activity without the earlier 8pm closure restriction.
DC Ijaz said the decision has also been taken to make the shopping process easier for citizens. The extended market hours are expected to give people more time to shop, especially during busy evening hours.
According to the deputy commissioner, the move will make economic activities more active in Lahore. The relaxation will remain in place until June 1.
