The prices of gold and silver in Pakistan and the global market witnessed a sharp decline on Friday after a day of slight increase.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by a major Rs15,500, bringing the new rate to Rs476,862, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs13,289, settling at Rs408,832. Also, the price of 10 grammes of 22-karat gold saw a drop of Rs12,182 to be sold for Rs374,776.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by a huge $155, reaching $4,545 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices also witnessed a big drop. The price of 24-karat silver per tola fell by Rs972 to Rs8,232. Similarly, 10 grams of silver also saw a fall of Rs833 to Rs7,057.
