United States and Pakistan have agreed to explore more opportunities for cooperation in the petroleum and energy sectors.
According to details surfaced on Thursday, Pakistan’s Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik held a meeting with US Assistant Secretary of State S. Paul Kapur.

The US side stated that Pakistan and the United States have always remained important to each other. It was noted that Pakistan imported six million barrels of crude oil from the United States for the first time, said Ali Pervaiz Malik.
US Charge d’Affaires Natalie Baker was also present during the meeting.
