Pakistan has received the first LNG cargo from Qatar after supply was restored following Middle East tensions and attacks on Qatari facilities.
According to Ministry of Petroleum officials, the restored supply is expected to help reduce the energy crisis, lower pressure on power generation and protect consumers from expensive fuel costs.
The first cargo of liquefied natural gas from Qatar reached Pakistan yesterday after the restoration of supply, officials said.
LNG shipments to Pakistan had been temporarily suspended after attacks on Qatari facilities in March amid the Middle East conflict.

LNG powers 6,000MW plants in Pakistan
Around 6,000 megawatts of power plants in Pakistan run on LNG, making uninterrupted supply important for electricity generation.
Officials said the restoration of LNG supply will help reduce load shedding and support efforts to manage the ongoing energy crisis.
The Ministry of Petroleum said the restored LNG supply will help electricity consumers avoid heavy fuel costs. Officials added that regular LNG arrivals from Qatar will reduce reliance on more expensive fuel alternatives and support smoother power supply.
