More revelations have surfaced about alleged drug smuggler Anmol alias Pinky, who sources say was arrested from Lahore’s Nawab Town area by an intelligence agency a week ago.
The accused, said to be running a drug smuggling network active in Karachi, has also been named in a case registered in Lahore after her brother Riaz Baloch mentioned her during his arrest in 2022.
According to police sources, Pinky’s name was included in a case registered in Lahore. Her brother, Riaz Baloch, son of Murad Bakhsh, reportedly named his sister Pinky after he was arrested in 2022.
Brother arrested in drug case
Police sources said Riaz Baloch was arrested from Lahore in a 9C drug trafficking case registered at Kot Lakhpat police station.
According to the FIR, 1,590 grams of drugs were recovered during his arrest. Police said Pinky managed to escape from the scene in a speeding car at the time.
Sources said Pinky was living in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat area with her brothers.
Police sources said the accused had escaped when her brother was booked in the drug case, but her name later surfaced during the investigation.
Arrest from Nawab Town
Sources claim Anmol alias Pinky was arrested by an intelligence agency from Nawab Town, Lahore, a week ago.
Police sources said the accused was traced through a device locator. However, Lahore police have not officially confirmed her arrest from Lahore.
According to sources, drugs worth crores of rupees were recovered from the accused’s house. Police sources said Pinky was allegedly manufacturing drugs herself in a rented house in Lahore.
Rented house linked to ex-police inspector
According to police, Anmol alias Pinky had contracted a second marriage with a former police inspector.
Investigators said the rented house where she was allegedly staying had also been rented in her name by the same former officer.
Police sources said Anmol Pinky’s drug supply network was active in Karachi, while the investigation into the wider network is still ongoing. Sources added that the accused is likely to be handed over to a federal agency for further investigation.
Authorities are now probing her alleged links, drug supply routes and possible accomplices connected to the Karachi-based network.
