PTI leader Sanam Javed has been shifted to Jinnah Hospital after her health deteriorated in Kot Lakhpat Jail.
According to her husband, Sanam Javed was taken to the hospital due to eye and stomach problems.
Prison sources said Sanam Javed was first given initial medical aid at the jail hospital after she became unwell. She was later transferred to Jinnah Hospital when her condition worsened.
Sources said she is undergoing emergency treatment at the hospital.
Sanam Javed kept in isolation
Hospital sources said Sanam Javed has been kept in isolation. An ultrasound is being conducted, while a medical team has been placed on call for her treatment.
Professor Tahir Bashir’s team is carrying out her medical check-up.
Sanam Javed’s husband said details about her illness are not being disclosed. He said she was brought to Jinnah Hospital because of eye and stomach-related complaints.
Sanam Javed is imprisoned in Kot Lakhpat Jail in connection with the May 9 case. She has been sentenced to five years in prison in the case.
