Circus performer Diana Elizabeth Batres Hermosillo has set a new world record after lifting 166.11 pounds with her hair.
According to details, the feat was performed on February 28 at La Paz Theatre in San Luis Potosi, where she tied together two braids made from her long hair and lifted the weight off the ground for 14 seconds.
Hermosillo has been performing circus acts for the past 26 years. She surpassed the previous record held by Indian weightlifter Asha Rani, who lifted 122.58 pounds with her hair in 2014.
Diana said she underwent six months of intensive training to endure the severe strain placed on her head, neck and back during the attempt.
