The price of gold in Pakistan and the global market witnessed a slight decline on Friday following two days of major hikes.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs2,700, bringing the new rate to Rs494,062, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs2,315, settling at Rs423,578. Also, the price of 10 grammes of 22-karat gold saw a drop of Rs2,123 to be sold for Rs388,293.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by just $27, reaching $4,717 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Meanwhile, silver prices moved in the opposite direction. The price of 24-karat silver per tola increased by Rs80 to be sold for Rs8,525. Similarly, 10 grams of silver also hiked to be sold for Rs7,308.
