Former Pakistan captain Moin Khan has said that giving Sarfaraz Ahmed the opportunity to serve as Pakistan’s red-ball head coach is a positive decision.
According to details surfaced on Thursday, former cricketer Tauseef Ahmed said Pakistan would have to take the field fully prepared against Bangladesh.
He said it would be better not to appoint Babar Azam as captain again, adding that there had been extensive discussion over his captaincy in the past.
Tauseef Ahmed said it was the responsibility of the captain to manage issues within the team.
Former captain Moin Khan said Bangladesh would hold a greater advantage in home conditions.
He said the decision to hand responsibility to Sarfaraz Ahmed was a good and positive step.
Moin Khan said Shan Masood was an intelligent cricketer and captain.
He added that conditions in Pakistan and Bangladesh were different.
Moin Khan said there were many questions surrounding the selection committee and it should clearly explain its policy.
