Lahore has once again ranked first among the world’s most polluted cities in the global air quality index.
According to the international air pollution ranking, Lahore recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 176, rendering the city’s atmosphere hazardous to health.
The ranking placed Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta, in second position with an AQI of 173, while India’s capital, Delhi, stood third with an AQI reading of 163.
The report also included Cairo in Egypt and Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, among the five most polluted cities in the world.
