The Punjab government has decided to continue the smart lockdown in Lahore as part of ongoing austerity measures.
According to details that surfaced on Friday, Lahore Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retired) Muhammad Ali Ejaz said the existing standard operating procedures would remain in force in the provincial capital.
The district administration has been instructed to maintain implementation of the smart lockdown.
The deputy commissioner stated that compliance with the prescribed SOPs would continue, while teams of the district administration would carry on action against violations.
