A Pakistani ship carrying a major petrol consignment has left the Strait of Hormuz after the US blockade, in what shipping sources described as an important development for Pakistan’s fuel supply.
According to sources, the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation’s vessel Khairpur has passed through the Strait of Hormuz and is now on its way to Pakistan.
Shipping sources said PNSC’s ship Khairpur is carrying 58,000 metric tons of petrol for Pakistan. The vessel had departed from a port in Kuwait after loading oil and later passed through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.
Expected to reach in 2-3 days
According to shipping sources, the Khairpur ship is expected to reach Pakistan within two to three days. The arrival of the petrol shipment is significant as the Strait of Hormuz remains a critical route for global oil transportation.
Sources said this is the second Pakistani ship to leave the Strait of Hormuz after the US blockade.
The movement of Pakistani vessels through the waterway is being closely watched due to the importance of the route for energy shipments and regional trade.
