The State Bank of Pakistan, banks, Pakistan Stock Exchange and government offices will remain closed for three days this week due to the public holiday for Labour Day and the weekend.
According to circulars issued by the relevant institutions, May 1 will be observed as a federal public holiday, while May 2 and May 3 will fall under weekly holidays.
A circular has been issued in this regard. The closure comes as May 1 is a federal public holiday on account of Labour Day.

The Pakistan Stock Exchange will also remain closed on May 1. A separate circular has been issued by the PSX confirming the closure.
Trading activity will resume after the holiday and weekend break.
Labour Day and weekend
Institutions will remain closed on May 1 because of the Labour Day public holiday. Since May 2 and May 3 are weekly holidays, banks, the stock exchange and government offices will remain closed for three consecutive days this week.
Citizens and businesses have been advised to plan banking, trading and official work accordingly.
