It is pertinent to note that Peshawar Zalmi are set to face Islamabad United today in the Qualifier at the Karachi stadium on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Multan Sultans owner Gohar Shah issued a statement terming the playoffs as a significant moment for cricket fans. He added that supporters will witness Sahibzada Farhan and Steve Smith opening the innings together, while bowlers such as Peter Siddle will face batters including Glenn Maxwell.
He added that the team’s journey to the playoffs has been difficult, shaped by years of struggle, particularly in Southern Punjab. He further remarked that the franchise has often been overlooked but has continued to move forward without complaint.
Shah added that reaching the playoffs this season was unexpected by many, yet the team now stands ready to perform at Gaddafi Stadium.
