Three civilians, including two women, were injured after the Afghan Taliban allegedly opened unprovoked fire in the Zallul Khel area of South Waziristan's Angoor Adda, security sources said.
According to the report, Pakistan Army troops responded promptly and effectively, destroying several Afghan posts after thwarting infiltration attempts by Fitna-ul-Khawarij.

According to security sources, all attempts by Fitna-ul-Khawarij to infiltrate were foiled due to the alertness and swift response of the Pakistan Army. Sources said the failure of the infiltration attempt put hostile elements under pressure.
After the attempt was blocked, the Afghan Taliban allegedly targeted the civilian population in panic, leading to injuries among local residents.
Three civilians injured
Three civilians, including two women, were injured in the Afghan Taliban firing, security sources said. The injured were immediately shifted to Wana Hospital for medical treatment.
The firing on civilian areas drew strong concern among local residents, who condemned the incident and demanded a full response from the Pakistan Army.
Security sources said the incident came after effective operations under Operation Ghazab Lil Haq. According to the sources, enemy elements are under severe pressure due to these operations and are now targeting civilian populations in frustration and panic.
Officials said the Pakistan Army’s prompt and effective response prevented further escalation and delivered a strong message to hostile forces.
Local residents condemn firing
Local people strongly condemned the Afghan Taliban firing on the civilian population. Residents said attacks on civilians were unacceptable and called for decisive retaliatory action against those responsible.
They also expressed support for the Pakistan Army’s response in the Angoor Adda area.
Interior minister praises army
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the Pakistan Army for foiling the infiltration attempt by Khawarij in South Waziristan. He said the Pakistan Army had thwarted the “nefarious intentions” of the Khawarij through timely action.
“I salute the brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army,” Mohsin Naqvi said.
The minister strongly condemned the Afghan Taliban’s firing on the civilian population after the infiltration attempt failed. He prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the firing.
Naqvi said Pakistan Army gave a befitting reply to the unprovoked firing by the Afghan Taliban regime through effective action. He said the army’s timely and professional response once again proved its readiness to defend the country and protect civilians.
