The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have issued a quarterly report on incidents of terrorism, stating that 475 cases were registered across 14 districts.
According to the report, 85 militants were killed during various operations. Police officials stated that 1,427 suspects were nominated in terrorism cases, while 107 were arrested.
The report said that 67 civilians were martyred and 298 injured in these incidents. Among security personnel, 27 Frontier Corps officials were martyred and 45 injured, while 21 personnel of other forces were martyred and 66 injured.
It added that 71 police personnel were martyred and 68 injured in acts of terrorism. The names of 1,235 individuals nominated in such cases were placed on the Fourth Schedule.
Police officials said that Bannu recorded the highest number of incidents at 92, followed by North Waziristan with 88 and Dera Ismail Khan with 65 cases.
