The Sindh government has taken a tough stance against cheating in board exams, announcing strict and unprecedented penalties. Students and staff found involved in malpractice will face severe consequences, including lifetime bans and dismissals.
The Sindh government has decided that students caught cheating will never be allowed to appear in board exams again.
According to officials, all papers of such students will be immediately cancelled, and they will not be permitted to continue in the ongoing exams or sit in any future board examinations.
Strict action against staff
The government has also announced zero tolerance for staff involvement in cheating.
Teachers, invigilators, internal and external exam staff, or any administrative officers found facilitating cheating will face departmental action, including dismissal from service.
In a joint statement, Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahoo and Education Minister Sardar Shah confirmed that a strict zero tolerance policy has been implemented for board examinations.
They emphasized that any form of malpractice during matriculation and intermediate exams will be dealt with firmly.
Students found carrying mobile phones or any cheating material will be immediately expelled from the examination process. Authorities said such actions would be taken on the spot to ensure fairness and transparency in exams.
Monitoring system to be strengthened
The provincial ministers also announced that monitoring systems at examination centers will be further tightened. Strict action will be taken against any interference in exam centers to prevent malpractice and ensure a fair testing environment.
The move reflects the government’s commitment to eliminating cheating and restoring the credibility of the examination system. Officials stressed that these steps are necessary to uphold merit and ensure equal opportunities for all students.
