Peshawar Zalmi delivered a historic performance, defeating Karachi Kings by 159 runs in the 17th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11.
The emphatic victory marks the biggest win margin in the tournament’s history.
After being invited to bat first, Peshawar Zalmi piled up a daunting total of 247 runs.
The innings was anchored by Babar Azam, who remained unbeaten on 87 off 51 balls, and Kaushal Mendis, who smashed a 109 runs.
Babar Azam and Kaushal Mendis stitched together a historic 191-run partnership for the second wicket.
This stand is now the highest partnership in PSL history, laying the foundation for Zalmi’s massive total.
Abdul Samad added quick runs at the end, scoring 40 off just 12 balls.
His explosive innings included 3 fours and 4 sixes, pushing the total beyond Karachi’s reach.
For Karachi Kings, Abbas Afridi picked up two wickets.

Chasing 247, Karachi Kings struggled from the start and were bowled out for just 87 runs.
Azam Khan was the top scorer with 25 runs, but the team failed to build any significant partnerships.
Peshawar Zalmi’s bowlers backed up the batting effort with a clinical display.
Naheed Rana, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Sufyan Muqeem took three wickets each to dismantle Karachi’s batting lineup.
