Despite representing Chennai Super Kings in the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League, West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein has kept a close watch on the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
He acknowledged the brief but forceful innings of South African all-rounder Dian Forrester, who struck 24 from 11 balls, including three successive sixes off Multan Sultans bowler Mohammad Nawaz.
Forrester’s innings was cut short when he was dismissed by Petter Siddle, caught by Nawaz, who had earlier been struck with ease by the 25-year-old. Despite Forrester’s effort and a half-century from veteran batter Sam Billings, the Pindiz failed to secure victory and remain without a win in the current tournament.
Hosein, who has previously featured for Quetta Gladiators in the PSL and is now part of Chennai Super Kings in the 2026 IPL season, praised Forrester, who represents Rawalpindi Pindiz.
In a video shared on his Instagram story, Hosein commended the batter’s aggressive cameo in the lower order.
Both Hosein and Forrester have previously played together for Joburg Super Kings in SA20.
