Former Pakistan Test cricketer Mohammad Yousuf has cautioned Islamabad United opener Sameer Minhas against taking advice from all and sundry in Pakistan.
Speaking on Samaa TV programme “Zor Ka Jor”, Yousuf said the 19-year-old batter must avoid relying on local coaches and instead seek guidance from foreign experts to refine his technique.
He advised the young cricketer to focus on first-class cricket in order to strengthen his fundamentals and improve his batting standards.
Yousuf said that there was no need for Sameer to take tips from everyone, urging him to adopt a disciplined approach towards his development.
It is pertinent to note that Sameer has scored 180 runs in three innings for Islamabad United in the ongoing 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League, marking his debut appearance in the domestic marquee tournament.
