Security forces have arrested a militant linked to the Afghan Taliban in Balochistan.
Additional Chief Secretary Home Hamza Shafqaat said the militant, identified as Habibullah, was involved in suicide attacks. He added that the suspect’s brother is a commander of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Afghanistan.
Hamza Shafqaat said the TTA and TTP were jointly carrying out acts of terrorism in Pakistan. Provincial home minister Ziaullah Langau said links between the Afghan Taliban regime and the TTP had been exposed.
Shafqaat said that restrictions had been imposed on travel documents in Balochistan, and that travel to other countries would now be possible only through passports.
