Karachi residents have been advised to stay alert as the Meteorological Department has forecast another spell of rain with thundershowers in the city on April 6.
The warning comes as a new westerly weather system is expected to enter the country, potentially triggering widespread rainfall and stormy conditions.
According to an early warning issued by the Met Department, another westerly wave is likely to enter Balochistan from tomorrow. Under the influence of this system, light to moderate rain with thundershowers is expected in Karachi and various districts of Sindh on April 6.
The forecast indicates that multiple areas of Karachi could experience rainfall throughout the day.
The Met Office has also warned of strong winds, lightning, and possible hailstorms associated with the incoming system. Officials cautioned that vulnerable properties could be damaged due to these weather conditions, urging residents to take precautionary measures.
Rain across Balochistan, other regions
The Met Department Director Irfan Virk said that the new system will first bring rain to parts of Balochistan from tomorrow evening. He added that the rainfall activity is expected to intensify on April 5 and 6, affecting multiple regions across the country.
According to Irfan Virk, the current spell of rain will continue in various areas until this evening, before the new system arrives. This indicates a continuation of unstable weather conditions in several parts of Pakistan over the coming days.

-
Avoid unnecessary travel during storms
