Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was not allowed to meet any family members or lawyers today.
However, under prison regulations, he was permitted to meet his wife. Aleema Khanum, Noreen Niazi, Salman Akram Raja, Naeem Haider Panjutha, and Fatehullah Burki reached Gorakhpur Naka to meet Imran Khan. Family members and party leaders, accompanied by a few workers, walked to the Factory Naka. They were stopped by police and sat in a nearby empty plot when blocked again. By the end of the allotted meeting time, no family member or lawyer was granted permission to meet him.
Bashira Bibi was also unable to meet her family. Nevertheless, prison authorities arranged a meeting between Imran Khan and Bashira Bibi in accordance with the regulations. The meeting continued in the conference room for 25 minutes. Discussions included the health of Imran Khan, a third eye procedure, telephone conversations with children during Eid, and ongoing court cases.
