Ryan Gosling has shared a series of memorable and often unbelievable stories about his Blade Runner 2049 co-star Harrison Ford, describing him as someone who operates by his own unique rules.
Speaking on the New Heights podcast hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce, Gosling laughed off a question about whether he had ever behaved like Ford, making it clear the answer was a firm no.
He added that Ford’s actions, however, were entirely in character, calling him exactly as cool as fans would hope.
Recalling their time on set, Gosling described a scene in which Ford accidentally punched him in the face. When ice was brought to help, Ford instead used it on his own hand and jokingly told Gosling, “I forgive you.”
In another moment, while Gosling took a standard dose of painkillers, Ford reportedly grabbed the bottle and took a large amount without hesitation, reinforcing Gosling’s view that “he’s not like us.”
Gosling also revisited a long-standing Hollywood story from the filming of Raiders of the Lost Ark. When Ford struggled to keep his iconic hat in place during horseback scenes, he allegedly solved the problem by stapling it to his head—a story Ford later confirmed, even revealing he still bears a scar.
Summing it up, Gosling emphasized that Ford stands apart from everyone else, describing him simply as “that guy.”
