Pakistani TV host and anchor Rabia Anum has referred to actress Ayeza Khan as “Pakistan’s Shah Rukh Khan,” sparking mixed reactions among social media users, many of whom believe Mahira Khan deserves the title of Pakistan’s acting queen.
Rabia Anum is a prominent Pakistani TV host and entrepreneur who runs her own beauty salon in Karachi. She began her media career as a news anchor on private television and worked there for several years before leaving the role.
Currently, she is hosting a Ramadan transmission on private TV alongside actor Danish Taimoor, receiving praise for her hosting skills.
Rabia Anum lives in Dubai with her husband and children.
Recently, she appeared on a podcast hosted by Ahmed Randhawa, where she described Ayeza Khan as remarkable both professionally and personally.
She said, “Her personality and aura are extraordinary. If she were an international star, she would be highly celebrated. If she were in India, her status might have been even higher. She is Pakistan’s Shah Rukh Khan.”
Speaking about her co-host Danish Taimoor, she added, “Working with him has been a wonderful experience. He is kind, humble, and always full of positive energy during our eight-hour live sessions. Now I understand why he is considered a superstar.”
However, many social media users disagreed with Rabia Anum’s opinion. Several argued that Mahira Khan possesses the global recognition and aura that make her deserving of the title, calling her Pakistan’s acting queen. Some fans also suggested that Saba Qamar and Urwa Hocane are equally worthy of the recognition.
