The federal government has decided to keep the prices of petroleum products unchanged for the upcoming review period, according to an official notification issued by the Petroleum Division.
Authorities said the decision was taken on the instructions of the prime minister while considering trends in global oil markets and the country’s economic situation.
According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been maintained at Rs321.17 per litre. Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel will remain unchanged at Rs335.86 per litre.
The government confirmed that both fuels will continue to be sold at the existing rates during the coming pricing period.
Decision made on PM's instructions
Officials said the Petroleum Division issued the notification following directives from the prime minister. The decision reflects the government’s effort to avoid sudden price fluctuations for consumers while monitoring global oil market trends.
Authorities noted that the move was taken after evaluating international petroleum price movements and Pakistan’s current economic conditions.
Petrol and high-speed diesel are among the most widely used fuels in Pakistan, directly affecting transportation costs, freight charges, and overall inflation.
By keeping the prices unchanged, the government aims to provide temporary stability for consumers, transporters, and businesses.
