Renowned Pakistani actor and TV host Fahad Mustafa has addressed rumours about his supposed arrogance, saying he is neither proud nor like Tom Cruise or Shah Rukh Khan, but he is more popular than many around him.
Fahad Mustafa is widely admired in Pakistan for his acting and for hosting the popular game show Jeeto Pakistan. His pairing with actress Hania Aamir in the hit drama Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum has also received considerable praise.
Despite a successful career in film and production, Mustafa often faces criticism on social media for his perceived arrogance, loud style, and strict attitude during live shows.
Recently, he appeared on journalist Maliha Rehman’s YouTube show to promote his upcoming film Aag Lagi Basti Mein, where he addressed the public perception of his arrogance and made a humorous remark about senior actress Atiqa Odho.
Mustafa explained that he is not arrogant but knows when to speak openly and when to stay reserved. “If people interpret that as arrogance, that’s their right,” he said. He added that sometimes he blends easily with people, and other times he keeps to himself, which can be misunderstood.
He also said he avoids some events because constant recognition can be exhausting, and he is not claiming to be like Tom Cruise or Shah Rukh Khan. Discussing interviews, he said he rarely makes mistakes, unlike others around him, and he feels proud when people frequently mention him in their shows.
Mustafa concluded by saying he fears excessive praise, as it can make people wonder how to bring him down again, highlighting his self-awareness about fame and public perception.
