Pakistani actor and digital content creator Meraj Haq has accused podcast host Adnan Faisal of hypocrisy after the latter claimed that actress Hania Aamir demanded Rs2 million to appear on his podcast.
Hania Aamir is widely regarded as one of Pakistan’s biggest Generation Z stars and has delivered several hit television dramas, earning a massive fan following across the country.
The controversy began last year when Adnan Faisal, owner of FHM Pakistan, invited the actress to appear on his podcast. Faisal later alleged that Aamir demanded Rs2 million to participate in the show.
He first revealed the claim during a television appearance and recently repeated it during a Ramadan transmission hosted by Faisal Qureshi.
Faisal said he had conducted around 700 interviews and had never paid anyone to appear on his show. He added that if he had not paid a prominent figure like Faisal Qureshi, there was no reason he would agree to pay Hania Aamir.
Following his remarks, the debate about Aamir’s alleged demand resurfaced on social media.
However, Meraj Haq has now challenged Faisal’s claims, alleging double standards. According to Haq, Faisal’s team once approached him with an invitation to appear on the podcast but asked him to pay Rs285,000 in return for promotional exposure.
Haq said he declined the offer, telling them that he does not pay money to give interviews.

After Haq’s revelation, several other content creators also came forward with similar claims. Travel influencer Zenith Irfan said she had also received a message from the same team and described the offer as suspicious.
Another social media user, Talha Vibes, alleged that he had been asked to pay Rs300,000 for an appearance on the podcast. Pakistani actress Aiman Khan responded to the claim with a laughing emoji, further fueling discussion on social media.
The controversy has sparked wider debate online about paid podcast appearances and transparency in influencer promotions.
