Several prominent Indian film personalities have found themselves stranded in Dubai and Abu Dhabi due to escalating tensions in the Middle East, prompting some to appeal to the Indian government for assistance in returning home.
According to media reports, Chiranjeevi’s daughter, Srija Konidela, along with her children, is currently in Dubai. Addressing concerns on social media, Srija reassured her followers that she and her daughters are safe despite recent airspace closures triggered by rising hostilities involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
In an Instagram story, she said local authorities are ensuring public safety and emphasized her support for the country, stating that they chose to be there and stand by it during challenging times.
Following recent military confrontations between the United States, Israel, and Iran, several parts of the Middle East have experienced temporary airspace closures. As a result, numerous international flights have either been cancelled or rerouted.
Videos circulating on social media show large crowds of passengers waiting at Dubai International Airport as they monitor the evolving situation. Several airlines have stated that services will resume once conditions stabilize and safe flight paths are restored.
Actress Esha Gupta, who is currently in Abu Dhabi, also shared her thoughts via Instagram stories. She acknowledged that the situation is far from pleasant but praised UAE authorities for handling the matter calmly. Gupta commended officials for taking care of individuals stranded at airports during the disruption.
Actress Nargis Fakhri spoke about her emotional state while in Dubai amid the tense environment. Sharing a photo of the city skyline, she described the past two days as extremely stressful, writing, “The last two days here have been very eventful.”
Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan, known for her role in the film Jannat, informed fans on X that she has been stranded in Dubai due to flight suspensions caused by escalating tensions in the region. While confirming that she is safe, she appealed to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for assistance.
She said all flights had been cancelled and there was no clear path for her return to India, expressing hope for guidance and support to ensure a safe journey home.
Tamil film star Ajith Kumar is also reportedly stranded in Dubai after his scheduled flight was cancelled due to airspace restrictions. On March 1, his manager Suresh confirmed that the actor had returned from the airport after being unable to board his flight and is currently safe in Dubai.
Meanwhile, Indian carriers including Air India and IndiGo have said they are closely monitoring the situation and will resume services once safe air routes become available.
The ongoing uncertainty has left many international travelers awaiting further updates as authorities across the region continue to assess security conditions and aviation safety.
