Oppo has expanded its A6 series in China with four new models: the Oppo A6 (PLS120), Oppo A6s (PLT120), Oppo A6i+ (PLT120), and Oppo A6v (PLT130).
While the devices share similar branding, each model offers distinct hardware features, including differences in display type, charging speed, selfie cameras, and durability ratings.
Design and Display
The Oppo A6 (PLS120) introduces a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with 1080p+ resolution, replacing the 6.75-inch 720p+ IPS LCD found on the global A6. It also comes with an optical under-display fingerprint scanner and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance. Color options include Velvet Gray, Blue Ocean Glow, and Pink Dream Blossoms.
The Oppo A6s (PLT120) and A6i+ (PLT120) both feature 6.75-inch 720p+ LCD panels, with IP68/IP69 certification. The A6s is available in Twilight Blue, Seashell White, and Dawn Gold, while the A6i+ comes in Glacier White and Chestnut Brown. The Oppo A6v (PLT130) also uses a 6.75-inch LCD but has a lower IP64 durability rating and is offered in Glacier Blue, Titanium Purple, and Wilderness Green.
Internals and Software
All four models are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. Memory configurations vary: the A6 (PLS120) supports 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB, while the A6s and A6i+ offer up to 12GB RAM and 256–512GB storage. The A6v provides similar options, all using LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, and a microSD card slot.
Cameras
The rear camera setup is consistent across all four models, featuring a 50MP primary sensor and 2MP secondary lens. Front cameras differ: the A6 has a 16MP selfie camera, the A6s and A6i+ come with 8MP, and the A6v has a 5MP front camera. Video recording is limited to 1080p at 60fps on all devices.
With these additions, Oppo aims to offer a versatile A6 lineup catering to different user preferences for display, performance, and photography features in the Chinese market.
