Eight people were trapped inside a lift at a private plaza on MM Alam Road in the Gulberg area of Lahore on Thursday, rescue officials said.
According to a rescue spokesperson, the team reached the site promptly after receiving information about the incident and commenced an operation without delay. Rescue personnel displayed professional skill and brought all those trapped in the lift out safely.
The spokesperson said women and children were also among those trapped. No injuries were reported.
Rescue authorities said the operation was completed successfully, while directions were issued to the administration to ascertain the cause of the lift malfunction.
