The health condition of Salim Khan - father of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan - has reportedly worsened, with doctors considering the possibility of brain surgery.
According to Indian media reports, a sudden spike in blood pressure affected blood vessels on the right side of Salim Khan’s brain. He is currently on a ventilator, while a team of doctors continues to closely monitor his condition and is evaluating the need for an urgent operation.
Sources say that Salim Khan was brought to the emergency ward of Lilavati Hospital two days ago. As his condition deteriorated, he was immediately shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Salman Khan was seen outside the hospital at the time but did not speak to the media.
Salim Khan is regarded as one of the most distinguished writers in the Indian film industry. In collaboration with Javed Akhtar, he penned several iconic films including Haathi Mere Saathi, Sholay, Zanjeer, and Mr. India - all of which continue to be regarded as classics.
It is worth noting that Salim Khan celebrated his 90th birthday on November 24, 2025, and has earned a revered place in Indian cinema for his decades-long contributions. Following news of his illness, fans and members of the entertainment industry have expressed prayers and well wishes for his speedy recovery.
