Renowned religious scholar and former Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman has contracted the dengue virus and is currently under treatment at a private hospital in Karachi.
His spokesperson confirmed that Mufti Muneeb was admitted two days ago and is now showing signs of improvement.
According to the spokesperson, Mufti Muneeb was shifted to a private hospital after developing symptoms consistent with dengue fever. Doctors began immediate treatment, and his condition is now reported to be better than before.
Family members and supporters have expressed relief over the improvement in his health.
Mufti Muneeb served for many years as the chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, overseeing the moon-sighting process in Pakistan. News of his illness has prompted messages of concern and prayers for his recovery from across the country.
