Actor Faysal Quraishi took to social media on Friday to highlight what he called ‘some of the greatest displays of ignorance’ he has ever witnessed - parents irresponsibly dropping their children off to school.
In a reel, he criticized drivers for forgetting the presence of kids in their cars, honking excessively, and racing to reach the school gate first.
“There are many other examples of ignorance, and not everyone drives like this, but too many people do,” Quraishi said. He expressed concern that children witnessing such behaviour are on their way to learn, making the chaos all the more troubling.

The Case No 9 actor also criticized parents who treat school gates as spots for leisurely chats, often blocking traffic while their drivers wait. He urged people to ensure their convenience doesn’t inconvenience others, instructing drivers to avoid using car horns near schools and hospitals and to follow lane discipline.
Quraishi emphasized that morning distractions like these can set a negative tone for the entire day and stressed the importance of setting a good example for children. “When kids see behaviour that contradicts what they learn in school, it disturbs their minds and convinces them that good lessons don’t apply in the real world,” he said.
He called on everyone to make small sacrifices, suggesting parents could give up five to 10 minutes in the morning to teach their children the right way to behave.
He concluded with a reminder: “Whenever you’re near a school, or anywhere really, be careful and follow the rules, for your safety and the safety of those around you.”
