Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar praised the European Union’s continued support on bilateral and multilateral forums during his visit to Brussels, where he met Antonio Costa, president of the European Council.
Dar and Costa agreed to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation. Both sides expressed satisfaction over positive developments in Pakistan–EU ties and affirmed their resolve to reinforce a partnership based on mutual benefit across various sectors.
Dar acknowledged the EU’s consistent assistance and set out Pakistan’s commitment to deepen cooperation on shared priorities. The meeting also covered the GSP+ scheme, trade and economic cooperation, and efforts to enhance multilateral engagement. The two sides exchanged views on regional and global security matters and agreed to maintain close coordination to advance common objectives.
