Fuel prices in Pakistan are expected to undergo significant changes this weekend, with diesel, kerosene, and light diesel oil likely to become more expensive.
Market sources say petrol may see a minor decrease, but overall petroleum prices are expected to climb as the government prepares for its next price revision.
According to petroleum industry sources, the price of high-speed diesel may increase by Rs9.60 per litre, a substantial jump driven by recent market trends.
If approved, the new price of high-speed diesel is likely to be fixed at Rs288.40 per litre, sources say.
Petrol may see slight reduction
In contrast, market sources suggest that petrol may become cheaper by Rs1.96 per litre starting November 16. If finalized, the revised petrol price is expected to settle at Rs263.49 per litre, according to industry estimates.

Price revision scheduled for Saturday
The prices of petroleum products across the country will be revised on Saturday, in line with the fortnightly review mechanism.
OGRA is set to send its summary to the federal government the same day, outlining recommended price adjustments based on global market movements and currency fluctuations.
After receiving OGRA’s summary, the Finance Ministry will issue the official notification of new petroleum prices following the prime minister’s approval.
The revised fuel prices will come into effect immediately after the notification is issued.
