Strong tremors were felt in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, and neighbouring areas.
According to details surfaced on Sunday, the Seismological Centre recorded the earthquake’s magnitude as 5.0 and its depth at 25 kilometres. The epicentre lay 65 kilometres west of Quetta.
The quake caused panic in several cities, prompting residents to leave their homes. No immediate reports of loss of life or damage have emerged.
