The Sindh government has decided to provide residential plots to serving and retired government officers, paving the way for them to construct their own houses.
The move was formally approved in the last meeting of the Sindh cabinet.
Sindh Civil Servants Housing Foundation established
To oversee the initiative, the cabinet approved the establishment of the Sindh Civil Servants Housing Foundation. The foundation will be headed by the Sindh chief secretary, while three serving and retired officers each have been nominated as directors.
According to the plan, the foundation will assist officials by providing facilities to make the construction of houses easier. The financial and administrative aspects of the project will be finalized in upcoming meetings.
Directors nominated for foundation
The Sindh government has nominated six directors to help run the foundation, dividing representation between serving and retired officers.
-
Serving officers: transport secretary, anti-corruption chairman, and a section officer.
-
Retired officers: Gahnur Ali Leghari, Liaquat Ali Memon, and Rafia Haleem.
This blend of experience is intended to ensure both practical oversight and institutional continuity.
