The federal government has announced revised petrol and diesel prices for the next fortnight, effective from September 16, 2025 (Tuesday).
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol remains unchanged, while the price of diesel has been increased by Rs2.78 per litre.

The price of petrol remains Rs264.61 per litre. Diesel will now be sold at Rs272.77 per litre.

As per the official notification, the revised prices of petroleum products will come into effect at midnight and will remain in force for the next 15 days.

Earlier on August 31, the government issued revised prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight, effective from September 1. According to details, the price of petrol remained unchanged at Rs264.61 per litre.

The price of high-speed diesel was reduced by Rs3 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs269.99 per litre. Kerosene oil saw a reduction of Rs1.46 per litre, with the new price set at Rs176.81 per litre. The price of light diesel oil reached Rs159.76 per litre after a decrease of Rs2.40 per litre.
